Have you ever felt pulled in so many directions—working full-time, managing reports, helping your boss, studying at night, dreaming about building something meaningful—that you wonder if it all makes sense? That’s how I’ve been feeling recently. But this week, something changed. I studied the 7 Habits again, and Habit 2: “Begin with the End in Mind” spoke deeply to my heart.
This habit reminded me of my future vision:
- To build a Coffee Library, where people come to learn and relax.
- To open a Learning Center offering short training from real experts.
- To support people by giving free clean water and knowledge.
Sometimes, I get caught in the daily pressure of deadlines and feel lost in busyness. But this habit helped me pause and ask: “Is this ladder leaning on the right wall?” It means I need to live each day with purpose—not just doing what’s urgent, but what’s truly important.
What I Learned
From the videos and readings this week, especially the words from Jim Ritchie and Stephen R. Covey, I learned that everything is created twice. First in the mind, then in reality. If I don’t clearly see where I’m going, I might end up in a place I never wanted to be.
Habit 2 teaches us to visualize our destination, then walk there with small steps each day. For me, this means saying “no” to distractions and “yes” to my dreams.
Why It Matters to Me
This habit helped me reduce my stress. It reminded me that every day at work—even the urgent reports and ad-hoc tasks—is helping me build skills I will use in my future business. Instead of feeling overwhelmed, I now feel more hopeful. I’m not just working. I’m preparing.
As a non-native English speaker, sometimes I feel behind. But the 7 Habits, especially Habit 2, showed me that I don’t need to be fast—I just need to be focused. I’m learning how to design my life, not just react to it.
Looking Ahead
This week, I plan to write my personal mission statement. I will also start making small daily choices that match my long-term goals.
I want to invite everyone reading this:
What is your end goal? What do you want to be remembered for?
Let’s help each other stay focused, hopeful, and passionate as we build our futures.
Thanks for reading. 🙏
Let’s keep learning, growing, and becoming leaders with purpose.
